For example, if you are photographing makeup, you can choose a feminine background or a glitzy one like sequins or fringe. Just be certain that it isn’t too busy.
If you don’t want to spend money on a background, just clear a space in your house and use a sheet tacked to a wall.
2. Shoot In Various Angles

However, chances are you don’t have the ability to do 360-degree photography. Instead, you can take photographs of your product from different angles. When it comes to product photography tips, people may tell you that you have to use natural light if you want to get the best lighting. However, if you aren’t able to use natural light, you can use diffusers to achieve a similar look.
If you don’t have a flash diffuser, you can make your own by using white tape or even a white plastic bag that’s been attached to the flash of your camera. This will make the flash softer, and the light will be distributed in a more even and consistent way.
4. Creating An Infinity Curve
You know how in some food product photography shots look like the food is just floating in midair? This isn’t some crazy trick! It’s just the utilization of an infinity curve background. You can do this by taking a piece of paper or fabric and creating a curve and attaching it to a rig, so it maintains the shape. Your product is going to be front and center on a seamless background.
5. Use A Tripod

By using a tripod, you can lower the ISO setting to get the best quality image without getting any blur from a shaky camera. You may think that the only way you can get a sturdy tripod is by spending a lot of money on one.
However, that isn’t the case. In fact, if you’re using the smartphone camera for product photography, there are numerous table top tripods that will work beautifully. The best part is, they aren’t expensive either—some are less than $20!
